I ask again...how many times have YOU had some internet crackpot show up at the office and cause a problem? Once you've been through the experience, we can discuss the issue from a common perspective.
I haven't. The people who have turned up on my doorstep via the internet have done so because they like what I say.

The point I was making was that it's not unreasonable to remove any information that can be used to locate you. If you claim to have written peer reviewed documents, come here asking for help to produce more, but don't prove your credentials, how do we know you're not an internet crackpot?

RGR,

Have you looked at the peak oil "problem" using computational fluid dynamics to model flows through the fields to the pump to make the system more efficient and mitigate any problems, so we can transition away from oil based transportation? Would the models be helped by including gas-to-liquid, coal-to-liquids and biofuel?

I have a chunk of my career involved in reservoir dynamics. However, a brute force, and common, solution to problematic reservoir dynamic issues is to drill wells closer together. Simple, effective, everyone can do it, it just costs money, and sometimes is the only solution which works.

Gains in extraction efficiency do not inherently solve any oil based transport issues however. All these gains do is make more oil available from existing fields and reservoirs, effectively a component of reserve growth.

Reservoir models, or there general application, wouldn't have much to do with the theoretical or practical aspects of GTL, CTL or biofuels. I'm sure they exist, someone has a working simulator to try and understand GTL at the reservoir level, but I haven't done any work of that type.
Thanks RGR. :)

I just wondered if, and by how much, it would be a more accurate assessment part of "molecules to marketplace" (for want of a better phrase) the GTL aspect of gas extraction and sale to market, when included with less-than-conventional/unconventionals.

I realise that reservoir dynamics and modelling them would be inappropriate for CTL and biofuels, as they are different areas, but could they and should they be included in models of a more general/holistic over view of the liquid fuels marketplace in general and how that could be used to model a better and smoother (in an economic sense) transition, and what your opinion of such would be.

Cocker spaniels. Of course.

You can tell a lot about a man by the dog he keeps.

A good friend of mine has a cocker spaniel; he tends to be grumpy, a little argumentative and a bit too confrontational. Can’t decide if he takes after his dog, or its because he’s lacking in the height department.

Another friend has four cocker spaniels, and interestingly he’s known for spending all evening in the pub, arguing that black is white and white is black.

Nice dogs though.
Let nobody suppose that simple, inexpensive arrangements are faulty because primitive. If constructed correctly and in line with natural laws they are not only right, but preferable to fancy complicated devices.

Don't forget that British Cocker Spaniels aren't like their effete American cousins.

Careful RGR, you're giving way too many hints!

It took me HOURS to identify you when you made your slip last time.

Maybe deep in your very soul you WANT to be identified, just like one of those serial killers in the films?

I am not anonymous, it comes with the job. How else do you think someone like Vortex could track down who I am from a single slip?
I've had quite a few of those, it kind of comes with the territory. My favourites so far are the elderly Romanian lady who vociferous denial of the holocaust and call for all immigrants to be loaded onto trains back home was somewhat muted by her claim to be 'and honorary tarantula' and the fellow who believed he was the reincarnation of Uther Pendragon who wished to complain that he had been banned from Historic Trust sites for 'inappropriate sword use'.

And so, on their journey to find the old masters, the seekers of RGR find there way to a uk PO site, where they are pleased to find a poster with the name RGR is still active recently somewhere on the net. But is it the REAL RGR? Or just one of his many imposters? Several mysterys remain unsolved. Why did RGR go back and delete many posts? What happened on 3rd Dec 2010? Did the keepers of the PO faith find and destroy RGR? Why is the pic of RGR so young looking? I thought he was a seasoned veteran? 7 weeks have passed since his activity on this thread. Is it too late? Occupation: Fuel Pump attendant? Has RGR moved on? Has he been banned again? Will this lead go cold?
The seekers are angstious for these answers, and for the answers RGR may hold about the true nature of peak oil.
Will they suceeed?
Maybe he's just on another thread in this same forum right now.
Tune in next time for - the amazing awareness journey through oil!!!

lolz!!! :)
