Orlov: RIP Mike Ruppert Mike Ruppert has shot himself. This makes me very sad, but I certainly won't think any less of him for his decision to take his own life. Everybody has that option. I'll remember him for the happy times we had together, and for the big difference he's made in so many people'...

It really doesn't take much energy to cook a few dried peas or
Soak a bit of couscous. In fact I bet you could eat dried peas just after soaking, not tried but wouldn't be surprised.

dried peas are my main thing, keep for ages and I eat them all the time anyway. Big peas were a staple food of the Britons before the Romans arrived I think. This year I'm growing and hoping to dry and store my own. Never tried wholegrain couscous, didn't know there was such a thing. I bet I'd like ...

Indeed, as recently debated in Sweden, people are no longer citizens. That word is only used when convenient, when spin is required. In every area, we are consumers. No area, even survival itself, is immune. I hate the term, always have. It's such an ugly word, that really does reflect an ugly side...

 I don't think you have the right to food. You have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness . Now being well fed will defiantly make you more happy then if you are hungry, but it is up to you to pursue and obtain the food to achieve that happiness. If you had a "right&q...

"Collapse can be avoided and population can reach equilibrium if the per capita rate of depletion of nature is reduced to a sustainable level, and if resources are distributed in a reasonably equitable fashion." If only. :( How can you have a sustainable level of depletion? Surely depleti...

I still get confused with the class definition. Is it really about your level of monthly income? What level of monthly income makes you middle class? If you're living pay cheque to pay cheque, you're not middle class by my definition, you're well off working class. Even if you do read The Telegraph.

That and the fact that I can't drive. I've met a couple of 25 year olds recently, neither could drive but said learning to and getting a car was a priority. I said don't bother if you're staying around London area. Not sure if they told me they wanted to drive because they felt that's what people w...

What will be will be. We've collectively decided what our fate is going to be. I think we have to think now in terms of living through the transition and saving what's best of human inventions, both technological and ideological, from the past two millenia. and in my opinion, that's the most import...

I don't think that that is the reason at all. They are concerned about the ability of people to pay higher rates of interest. To put interest rates up now would stifle any improvement in the economic position as people, individuals and businesses, used the little spare money they have to pay for th...

Ah, right, so it's not you who wants a bank account! What a scam this economy is.
I'm in the same category as that.
