I think the cumulative picture is at best confusing as it gives the impression of being a 3D picture. I disagree - the original mass of line shown first and then organised into cumulative graph with the colour coding and the names is excellent... I hadn't seen it that way before and I think it make...

We had visitors from Australia once. Although they were very quick in the shower, they each showered very frequently. Sometimes more than once a day! I shower every second day but take a bit longer each time than they did. On average though I reckon I use less water/heat. :) Sadly baths give me migr...

Those who publicise the need to "use less stuff" leave themselves wide open to the "hypocrite" label. Prince Charles must surely have realised that the label would be given to him. Yet he had the courage to speak out anyway..... Not disagreeing that what he said was hypocritical,...

I think Hawkins Bazaar used to be just mail order. I'll admit I used to order some stuff from them for stocking fillers each Christmas. Whoopie cushions, wooden yo-yos, playing cards and various novelties of old fashioned humour.... They opened up in Belfast recently, and so this year I went up thin...

'Getting rid' of children is something rich people do and have done. ? Sounds as unjustified as LB3's remark. Think day care; think hired help; think boarding schools; in times past, think governesses; think wet nurses; think aristocracy illegitimate children. Guess I was thinking more along the ab...
