Thanks for the encouraging news that your friends recovered. How long were they ill for? It's been almost 6 months for me and I've made zero progress (although I guess I should be thankful I'm not getting worse!). I basically walk slower than my mother who is in her mid 70's, need a sleep every afte...

Hello friends - I know I haven't been on here much lately, but I have not been so well lately. I am suffering from what appears to be ME (not formally diagnosed yet)... anyway I came across this petition, and I would really appreciate it if some of you would support it. (Sorry I tried to post in Of...

Perhaps my hectic and weedy gardening style helps? I've been collecting flower seed from alround and sp...

3.) In lieu of (2), this greater resistance will lead to non-GM-crops being also attacked by these more virulent new forms of pests. Thus, the production efficiency of non-GM-crops will be indirectly affected by the development of GM-crops even if there is no direct cross-contamination. Again, this...

Population is a problem in that it has the ability to continue to expand exponentially so long as the resources are there to feed the population - the bigger the population the higher those at the top of the lifestyle heap are likely to live... I reckon globalisation has allowed the fat cats to get ...

Remove the highest comsumers .... (okay not really possible, but imagine we have done so) and the remaining population will fill the now available niche. Only thing previously preventing them being there was competition, remove it and everybody's standard of living moves up a notch. Yay great... ex...

It's already straining under our activities as it is . But isn't that his point? That it wouldn't be straining at all if we all lived on the resources of, say, a Cuban? As I said, though, I think you're both arguing the toss of the same coin - which side is shinier? Indeed. It's not strainin...

I have a big collection of physical books. I have no intention of EVER getting a kindle, in case if we do see a civilisational crash, I hope my little library might survive for future generations to take advantage of. I have both. I bought the kindle in the first place because I had found some pdf ...
