I used to take that view, but now I work in a slightly different way. Our aim is to invest in ourselves, so by investing say, insulation and reducing the amount of money we give away to other people or companies, we can then invest the money saved into other things. sort of using the amount of cash...

All the talk has been about globalisation, global markets etc.etc. I can't help thinking it is all going in totally the wrong direction. We need to undo all the outsourcing etc of the last 20+ years and start to reverse the process. We need to unglobalise or deglobalise or what ever the word should ...

People pay more attention to things that they work out for themselves. So maybe a strategy would centre around provoking their curiosity? Hello fellow realists! I have recently read a couple of books, "Power Down" etc and am convinced that Peak Oil is either imminent or past. As a science teacher my students have often groaned at my comments regarding the oil induced population explosion.... but until now the doom & gloo...
