I received a reply from Lou Grinzo who runs The Cost Of Energy site where I first found the report. He says: I noticed that lack of specifics, and it raised an alarm with me, too. But the article or the company's site say something about how the only inputs to the process are the raw materials (plan...

Fascinating stuff. My first thought was: surely a simultaneous policy would in reality mean bringing the 'standards of living' - and I use the phrase with caution - in various countries more in line with each other? In saying this I fully accept that current discrepancies in infrastructure etc. are ...

Ethanol/electricity from waste?

There's a very interesting (if only half complete) US site called The Cost Of Energy: www.grinzo.com/energy/ which this week lists amongst its news items a story entitled 'Waste Converted To Ethanol, While U Wait'. I know very little about this area of development and so am wondering what other peop...

Well I'm all for a new start seeing as I've only recently become aware of the issue. Having spent a couple of months reading everything and anything I could on the subject, it'd be nice to actually talk to people who know a bit more about it than me... Not that I mind trying to explain the issue to ...
