Re: Questionable downgrading of supply capacity.

Could this be a case of "negawatts" in action: ensuring that there is less electricity used in future to safeguard the supply at a lower level of demand so that existing supply is adequate from existing sources?

Re: New Agriculture Act

This has been the direction of push in the industry for several years now so I'm not at all surprised. I'll have to read the detail to see what the improvements are. The required iprovement of banning all "novel" chemicals won't be there though. There is a lot of talk about Regenerative Ag...

Re: Outage and upgrade

You can try mine if you want as I can't get in yet under kenneal - lagger, James.

Is there a "posts since last visit" function? That was very useful on the previous version that I used every time I logged on.

Re: Big thanks to James B, our wonderful tech guru

I've just sent an email to the "Board Administrator" explaining the problems I'm still having with the kenneal - lagger identity. I doesn't seem to be changing passwords very well.

Some impressive images regarding shale : https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/11/24/upshot/nd-oil-well-illustration.html Scorched earth strategy if there is one .. Development on that scale in the country side in the UK would provoke riots and any MP in the area who supported it would be out at...

Climate change, new research on the harm done by pollution from vehicles, improvements in solar tech, awareness of ocean plastics - these are all reducing oil use, and the goal posts have moved. I have yet to see any decline in oil production or consumption. Now, anyone who is looking to provide a ...

Very nice, LJ. But I would be inclined to put that in a not so used room as decoration and have a wood burning stove in the main room having enjoyed a stove for forty years. But then we are all different, aren't we.

I agree with woodburner for a change! It is always best to use a stove with the air supply wide open, or as open as it needs to be for a clean burn. Control the heat output by limiting the fuel supply. A heavy weight house helps as the structure absorbs excess heat in the house. This enables a warm ...

The Kenya case is a good reason to avoid that particular vaccine, and I'm not surprised that the Gates Foundation is involved, but it is not evidence against vaccine in general. As for measles being an inconsequential disease, it might have been in my childhood days but it seems to have come back wi...

There is also the move to heat pumps for space heating to add to that loading. I always advise a client to install a wood burner with a flat top so that they have an alternative form of heating and cooking in future. Most of my clients live in rural areas or small towns though so aren't bothered by ...

The following vid where a Welsh Labour voter tears into slimeball, Barry Gardner, is also interesting. And the LBC interviewer also picks him up on a few things as well.

Edited for spelling!! Thanks LJ😀

Woodburner, you really should do a little independent research of your own before quoting what other people have said rather than going on what you are told by your favorite denier website. Edenhofer is an advocate of cap and trade which will, de facto, result in a redistribution of wealth. That is ...
