Only my sisters know about it and of course if the government end up giving rice out from a lorry somewhere I'll be in queue too. The questions may start when I dont get thinner and everybody else does... What all are you getting in your bulk order and what sort of price is it coming in at? Really s...

It does give you three months during which you can formulate a plan as well as grow a few items to eat, rather than expending your time and energy looking for food. I mean, you wouldn't sit around consuming food for three months then start looking for more, not if you're farsighted enough to stockp...

Dungannon is... lacking a suitable word to describe it. Where I live is quiet and sleep but with having to travel to Belfast every day for work it is a cost I could be doing without. Disappoints me that our political leadership are sleepwalking into this crisis without making any real strides to mak...

Hey, welcome back Gordy! Your cupboards are what? Bare...ly holding up under the strain? Something like that, alot of long lasting tinned foods. Dare say I could survive for about 3 months with the current food stocks, not living like a king but surviving and that could be the name of the game. Hav...

Valid Points and maybe I am going about it a little backwards Im viewing it as short term prep before getting the longer term stuff sorted. A super sleeping bag, batteries, some medicines. I suppose its a short term if SHTF scenario. A slow decline and a bug out bag wouldnt be much help I guess and ...

Bug Out Bag

Hi, I'm starting to get into a financial position where I can start to build up supplies and thought the first step should be a bug out bag. I wanted to get a sleeping bag first - one of those military standard ones but couldnt find any through army surplus web sites. Have you any ideas where I coul...

that post on the main forum about the town in Germany that did away with cars is what I dream of for over here.

Every town to be carless but for that to work we would need a better rail network to connect the towns to the cities and each other and there would be a huge cry from the masses :(

Belfast 99.9 if not higher

Dungannon - 40 miles away in the countryside is 96.9 / 97.9

I've been told petrol retailers put it up a penny or too for bank holiday weekends and generally on Fridays, whether they bring it back down is another thing :(

Sorry an MLA would be the equivalent of what sits in the Welsh assembly i'd imagine More powerful than councillors but below MPs. Less power than a Scottish MP too id say. However my Union in work has said to bombard MLAs with complaints over the pay deal settlement we are receiving and it seems to ...
