Opec holds oil production as BP says energy demand rose

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13699952
"It seems to me that with crude prices as high as they are, most members are already producing as much as they possibly can," said Tom Bentz, director at BNP Paribas commodity futures.
Sounds like peak oil to me

Unlike those nervous GPs because "Stitching up wounds caused by accidents is not deemed to be part of a GP's role so any GP who undertakes such work would be laying themselves open to being sued if anything went wrong eg if they missed a tendon or nerve injury". It would be interesting to...

My question remains as to why highly qualified and highly paid GP's get away with passing simple injury patch ups on to an A+E, and incur huge extra costs to the system, rather than roll up their sleeves and do it themselves? One very good reason is litigation. Stitching up wounds caused by acciden...

That's not to say that the majority of doctors couldn't suture a wound in an emergency if they had to though (except perhaps psychiatrists  )

Most GPs wouldn't suture a wound caused by an injury. GPs generally do minor surgery - ie they remove lumps and bumps and stitch up wounds they made themselves! But for "accidents" and "emergencies" the A&E Dept is the correct place to go.

There won't just be rationing of food, water, fuel, power, but importantly also rationing of healthcare. You just need to look at what's happening in Japan following the earthquake, tsunami & nuclear disaster to see what will happen with rationing - sick, elderly & disabled people are litera...

ODAC predicts oil crunch in 2012 or 2013

From the latest ODAC newsletter: - " Just because output was lower in 2009 than 2008 does not necessarily mean the fall was geologically imposed. We think oil production was lower in 2009 than 2008 because of lower demand caused by the recession, itself caused in part by the spike in the oil pr...
